Abstract:

In this paper, we propose a novel sept-band multi-band band-pass filter with a unique topology based on coupled structures. We introduce a frequency transformation method from low-pass to band-pass, allowing for a specified bandwidth for each pass-band using an in-line topology. The advanced topology enables the mapping of numerous resonators in a single layer microstrip PCB with minimal effort. Additionally, the coupled line structure provides a relatively wide-band band-pass frequency range, allowing for a high number of pass-bands. For implementation, we utilize half wavelength resonators implemented by microstrip technology as both passband and stopband resonators. The design theory is validated by the agreement between simulated and theoretical results.
