Abstract:
The widespread adoption and development of communication technologies, including ICT and the internet, have led to the full-fledged introduction of e-learning in educational settings, involving active learning through personal computers and networks. Despite the advantages of e- Learning such as flexibility and resource optimization, passive interaction methods have posed challenges. Simultaneously, social robots have demonstrated potential in educational contexts. This study proposes a novel universal robot that utilizes vocal encouragement and movement performance to enhance academic achievement and motivation in higher education e-learning. Different from traditional educational robots, this universal agent operates independently of specific content, ensuring versatility, and can be seamlessly integrated into existing e-learning systems. A three-month experiment statistically validated the robot's effectiveness in improving learning outcomes.
