Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to compare the results of 3D reconstruction from a commercial device and a photogrammetric process. Using commercial equipment, we had defined the quality of the 3D scan, which was compared with a commonly available 3D reconstruction process. When creating a 3D model using the photogrammetry process, we used commercially available equipment, which was then compared to the commercial equipment. The created 3D models were compared in the CloudCompare software environment. The aim was to determine the dissimilarity and accuracy between the commercial device and the conventional devices. Through this study, we have approximated the dissimilarity that occurs between commercial equipment that is not commonly available as the photogrammetric process used. The experiment revealed the shortcomings of the equipment used in the photogrammetric process and the accuracy of each 3D model against the commercial equipment. The article includes the created dataset. This dataset in the experimental part was used.
