Abstract:

In today's digitalization world, data play a very valuable role. In addition, with these security is the core concern. Cyber security provides different tools for protecting data. This paper discussed various cyber security tools that are helpful in developing secure online environment. Organizations and governments worldwide recognize the necessity of adhering to cyber security measures. Databases also play an important role in cyber security. However, databases like MySQL and Oracle are relational databases, come with some limitations such as schema rigidity and challenges related with scalability. This has led to the emergence of alternative database technologies, including graph databases like Neo4j, which excel in expressing relationships between entities and are increasingly important in cybersecurity. This paper explores the role of databases in cybersecurity and the significance of the graph model using Neo4j in enhancing cybersecurity measures. We have used a sample (Cyber Security Breaches, 2014) dataset for applying CQL and generating graph model to analyse the data in visual form. The combination of Cypher Query Language (CQL) and Neo4j's graph database features provides a powerful toolset for analysing and securing interconnected data in the digital age.
