Abstract:
To produce energy sustainably and lessen the consequences of climate change, renewable energy sources like wind and solar must be integrated into the current energy infrastructure. In order to evaluate the viability and performance of a wind and solar-based hybrid energy system (WSHES), this work presents a thorough modelling and simulation assessment of the system. The suggested method offers improved energy generation and reliability by combining the intermittent nature of wind and solar energy sources. The WSHES is assessed in the study under various operating situations using simulation tools, control algorithms, and mathematical modelling. The WSHES has a great deal of potential to improve energy sustainability, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and provide a steady supply of electricity, according to the results. The results of this study can help integrate renewable energy sources more effectively.
