Abstract:
Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) is a very well-known Additive Manufacturing Method for the development of highly customized, lightweight and with complex geometry products. Nevertheless, yet the achieved printing speeds of this method are rather slow, making it unaffordable for mass production. In the current paper, a customized FFF printer is presented which is based on an advanced electromechanical system, which achieves to increase the printed speed over 500% compared to conventional FFF printers, without sacrificing the quality and the mechanical strength of the fabricated product.
