Abstract:
This study focuses on developing and evaluating a barangay management information system with a residency certificate issuance feature. Using a development research approach, the system was crafted to meet the specific needs of local communities. The system was evaluated using the Usefulness, Satisfaction, Ease of Use (USE) questionnaire by IT practitioners, IT government employees, and barangay officials The resulting user acceptance and effectiveness ratings showcased a remarkable average score of 4.58. This consensus reflects a strong agreement among participants, underscoring the system's exceptional user-friendly characteristics and innate convenience. Beyond its user-centric design, this system yields substantial advantages for barangays in the realm of local e-governance. By optimizing administrative processes and simplifying document processing, it enhances operational efficiency within the context of digital governance initiatives. Furthermore, its pivotal role in establishing a comprehensive repository of essential records magnifies its potential to reshape local governance in the digital age.
