Abstract:
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) was first introduced in 1997, and has been working in both laboratory and clinical skin research. An optical coherence tomography scan (generally referred to as an OCT scan) helps us to examination the health of your eyes. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a technology for eye diagnostic. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) gives high-resolution images of structures at the back of the eye, such as the choroid, retina, optic nerve and vitreous humor. OCT is like to ultrasonography but uses light in its place of sound. OCT scans are recommended for people aged 25 or above, who want to know more about their eye health, or those who have glaucoma, diabetes or have family history of eye disease. OCT is based on low-coherence interferometer to create two-dimensional (2D) and 3D images. This rule obtains highresolution, cross-sectional, and backscattering image. In this paper, we review OCT technology and describe its potential biomedical and clinical application.
