Abstract:

The issue of colour twist in Contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization)-enhanced airway security X-ray images is applied with a Unsharp Masking-CLAHE X-ray image enhancement approach. After applying CLAHE enhancement to the calculated grey scale pictures for the R, G, and B channels of the X-ray image, the combined R, G, & B grey scale images will be merged. The USM sharpening procedure is then applied to the CLAHE-enhanced X- ray image, and depending on its weight, it is mixed with the original and USM-sharpened photos. The studies' findings show that the USM+CLAHE algorithm is able to successfully enhance security X-ray images while also reducing colour distortion in the enhanced images.
