Abstract:
Blockchain is a distributed ledger that allows users to exchange information without any centralized authority. As the number of blockchain users has increased, research has been conducted to solve the limitation problems that exist in the blockchain. One of them is cross-chain communication, a method of exchanging tokens between different blockchains. In 2021, Zamyatin et al. proposed the first formal definition of cross-chain communication. This makes it easier to develop applications using cross-chain communication. On the other hand, existing cross-chain communication cannot aggregate multiple users’ values under the condition that, for example, tokens are assigned to the user who selects the highest value among the prices offered by multiple users. In this study, we propose an efficient cross-chain communication method when multiple users in a blockchain execute cross-chain communication, for the first time. We can aggregate multiple users’ values by applying a cryptographic scheme called the insert key-value commitment scheme to cross-chain communication and can solve the existing problem in cross-chain communication. We also ensure the security of the sender and receiver.
