Rapid Application Development and data management using Oracle APEX and SQL

SQL language forms a common way to access data in the database. It can be effectively used for creating data-driven applications, as well. Low-code programming has become popular in the non-IT sphere to allow users to create applications quickly, efficiently, and easily. This paper deals with the data-driven applications created in the Oracle APEX technology, covered by the Erasmus+ project BeeAPEX, run on the Oracle Cloud infrastructure. Besides, it deals with the data layer. Oracle Database 23c brought many syntactical enhancements. One of them is just the possibility to join the data in Update and Delete operations. In this paper, that concept is specified and discussed, followed by the performance evaluation of the newly introduced solutions compared to the SQL ANSI standard.
