Abstract:
Industry 4.0 can potentially serve as an effective solution for enhancing the productivity of small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs). However, the implementation of Industry 4.0 poses several challenges for these enterprises. These challenges include the limited availability of financial resources, knowledge resources, and the selection of appropriate technologies. The primary objective of this research paper is to determine the level of existing research that addresses the application of Industry 4.0 in SMEs and its ability to tackle the challenges mentioned above. In addition, this paper aims to explore the concept of the maturity model for Industry 4.0, which is used as one of the methods to guide the journey of SMEs in the transformation to Industry 4.0, as well as explore the various dimensions of the maturity model. To achieve these objectives, the PRISMA methodology has been employed, encompassing a systematic literature review that consists of three stages: identification, screening, and inclusion. The literature searches were conducted on databases such as IEEE Explorer, Scopus, and ACM Library. After a thorough search process, a total of 32 papers were selected, all of which were deemed relevant to the goals and objectives of this study.
