Abstract:
Currently, numerous companies choose to deploy the RDMA technology as their network services. However, RDMA technology requires the verbs stack as the application interface, which is not compatible with the standard socket interface in Linux. To leverage the performance benefits of RDMA while maintaining compatibility with the socket interface, this paper proposes the deployment of a shared memory communication stack and Libvma stack on the RDMA network. In this paper, we deploy the SMC-R stack and Libvma stack on the RDMA network to migrate the TCP/IP stack application to the RDMA network and improve their performance.
