Abstract:

In response to the increasing power demands of on-board electrical appliances within Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and the need for consistent output voltage across a wide range of speeds, this paper introduces an innovative Hybrid Excitation Doubly Salient Generator with Separate Windings (HEDSGSW) structure. The proposed design offers numerous advantages, including simplicity, high reliability, exceptional power density, and consistent output performance. This paper commences with a comprehensive exploration of the electromagnetic structure and the operational magnetic circuit of the high-efficiency double convex pole generator featuring a parallel magnetic circuit structure. Subsequently, it presents a meticulous motor design methodology tailored to the technical requirements and design principles governing this groundbreaking generator. To optimize the motor for enhanced output power and efficiency, this paper conducts a thorough analysis of both stator and rotor structures, focusing on parameter optimization. Furthermore, it synthesizes the impact of each structural parameter on motor performance.
