Abstract:

In this rapidly evolving digital landscape, the generation of enormous volumes of data from the healthcare industry is inevitable, which poses a critical challenge in effective data and storage management. The issue of data redundancy is also arising. This paper delves into the concept of medical image deduplication using hashing algorithms to identify and replace original images with reference pointers that direct to the original images, thereby significantly reducing storage volume and lowering costs incurred by the healthcare industry.
