Abstract:

The influence of fluids needs to be taken into account for the analysis of thermal field of oil filled motors. The flow of fluid in the motor can cause an increase in loss and also improve the internal thermal conductivity. If the influence of fluid on the temperature field of the motor cannot be fully considered, the calculation results of thermal analysis will be inaccurate. Based on the above issues, this paper compares the differences between the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method and the computational fluid dynamics and finite element joint method (CFD-FEM) in calculating the thermal field of oil filled motors, and researches the effect of heat dissipation of the winding end on the thermal field.
