Abstract:

This paper proposed a modified rotor flux observer designed for dual three-phase PMSM to acquire the rotor fluxes with high accuracy, low harmonic distortion, and without phase lag at the same time. The observed rotor fluxes are smooth enough to calculate the rotor position directly for sensorless control, so the phase lock loop (PLL) can be eliminated. Simulations have been investigated to testify the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method.
