Abstract:
In the dynamic field of smart home automation, the attainment of seamless integration among numerous devices and the utilization of artificial intelligence are of great importance. This research introduces an innovative methodology combining commercial and prototype-based sensors into an open-source, cost-effective framework. By utilizing an open-source IoT Stack, we can achieve a level of interoperability that surpasses traditional limitations imposed by device limits. Our approach integrates the OpenAI API, which complements the static decision-making processes with intelligent and contextually aware decision-making. Our system prioritizes the implementation of advanced artificial intelligence-driven answers and lays the foundation for future initiatives focused on improving the user experience, particularly for individuals with reduced mobility.
