Abstract:

The battery charge and discharge regulator (BCDR) is an important component of space power supply system. The use of bidirectional DC-DC converter instead of traditional dual unidirectional DC-DC converter can make the whole power supply lighter, smaller in size and higher in power density, which meets the development needs of miniaturization and lightweight of space power supply in the future. In this paper, a bidirectional SuperBuck-Boost DC-DC converter integrated charging and discharging circuit topology is proposed, and the operation principle and characteristics of the circuit topology are analyzed, The battery charge and discharge control strategy based on the bidirectional SuperBuck-Boost converter is proposed, and the feasibility of the circuit topology and control strategy is verified by a 500W prototype.
