Abstract:

This article presents the results of the development of a mobile design prototype based on UX/UI to improve the poor experience of business owners in inventory stock management in the Azuero region. An applied research approach was used, with a quantitative and descriptive scope, using non-probabilistic convenience sampling. A 6-stage procedure was employed, which included the evaluation of heuristic usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The prototype developed in this project was compared with two popular market applications with the same purpose, using metrics of effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. This approach demonstrated the impact of early usability perspectives in the software development process to achieve a high-quality product. The result is a functional app focused on the user, aiming to be a technological means for economic growth and sustainable development for all types of businesses that need to efficiently manage their inventory. It helps prevent sales losses, reduce costs, optimize space, and increase profits.
