Abstract:

Archival documents are susceptible to degradation, resulting in the loss of information, which often has cultural and heritage value. Hyperspectral processing is one of the effective information recovery methods for archival documents, moreover, it can be used for documents imaging analysis. This approach allows you to restore documents from breaks and stains, to increase visibility, as well as analyze them, the purpose of which can be ink classification, text erasure analysis or artworks authentication. This paper focuses on the analytical review of modern hyperspectral methods that are used to solve processing and analyzing archival documents and printed publications tasks.
