Abstract:
This paper presents a high-precision, wideband digital phase shifter structure designed for the 13GHz-19GHz frequency range. The proposed phase shifter consists of six units with a step size of 5.625°, a phase range of 0-360°, and 64 phase states. The phase shifter design includes bridge T-type topology for 5.625°, 11.25°, and 22.5° phase units, and a high-pass/low-pass grid topology for 45°, 90°, and 180° phase units. The phase shifter exhibits excellent phase shifting performance with input and output return losses of less than −13dB for the 64-state phase shifter. The insertion loss of the phase shifter is less than 8.1dB, while the root mean square error of the phase shifting is less than 2.8°, and the root mean square error of amplitude is less than 0.45dB. The digital phase shifter offers wide bandwidth and high phase accuracy, making it suitable for applications in microwave phased array T/R components, wireless communication, and other fields.
