Abstract:

When a vector control is applied to an open-end winding synchronous reluctance motor, it is necessary to consider the interference terms between dq-axes and z-axis which consist of the 3rd harmonic components and the zero-phase term. However, the terms consisting of the 6th harmonic components on dq-axes make it difficult to implement the analysis of them, especially for a doubly salient type. In this paper, first, a detailed electrical equation of an open-end winding doubly salient SynRM is introduced, which includes the interference inductances, the zero-phase inductances and the dq-axes inductances. At the same time, the identification methods of the first two are suggested. Then, a novel control method is proposed that can both estimate and compensate for the harmonic electromotive forces as a periodic disturbance voltage and precisely regulate a current. The proposed controller consists of the state-space representation of the state observer based on the internal model and the current regulator, and is applied to vector control. Finally, the proposed methods are verified with numerical analysis, finite element analysis on 2D model and experimental tests on actual device.
