Abstract:

With the rapid evolution of the Internet, digital music collections have surged, complicating the process for users to identify and locate specific songs. Global scholars are increasingly focusing on research related to music search capabilities. Top music platforms offer vast song repositories catering to diverse musical preferences. As the post-90s generation, known for its quest for uniqueness, emerges as the dominant online consumer group, there’s an amplified demand for tailored music services, signaling vast market opportunities. The Internet, while ensuring prompt and precise communication, has also significantly augmented our lifestyle, introducing us to modern forms of entertainment. Traditional music search largely hinges on metadata to filter suitable tracks. This method poses challenges for users as it necessitates them to recall specific details about the desired track for a successful search, which feels out of sync with today’s fast-paced lifestyle. This paper delves into the analysis of music melody contours, a pivotal method in multimedia search techniques. The realm of search has expanded from singular text-based content to encompass multidimensional multimedia elements like images, sound, and videos.
