Abstract:
The Electro Optical and Infrared (EO/IR) technology has evolved incorporating various sensors, algorithms, and data analysis techniques. However, in the unique environment of the ocean, the application of traditional EO/IR technologies becomes challenging. Therefore, this paper aims to comprehensively investigate sensing, image enhancement, classification, object detection, and object tracking techniques to address this issue. The direction of these technologies will also be explored.
