Abstract:
In this paper, the reconstruction of the three-dimensional volumetric force density distribution in case of single-sided linear induction motor is considered. The reconstruction is carried out based on the force density values in the longitudinal slice of the motor. For the aims of the study, the ideal motor model was used. This model allows taking into account end effects but exclude spatial harmonics from inductor. The distribution of electromagnetic field was calculated by finite-element method. In the work, the reconstructed force density distribution is compared with the original one at different supply frequency values. The transformation of a two-dimensional distribution into a three-dimensional one is conducted by the dynamic mode decomposition procedure. The work also provides recommendations for setting up the finite element mesh for various electromagnetic similarity numbers. Finally, conclusions are drawn about the advisability of application of the same reconstruction function when varying motor parameters from the base values.
