Research on TRL calibration algorithm in the terahertz band

This paper describes two different TRL calibration algorithms (S parameter method and T matrix method) with 8-term error model and de-embedding the measured data for the InP HEMT transistors of THz band. Among them, the first algorithm, which based on S-parameters is improved on the basis of the traditional S parameters algorithm. The de-embedding results of the two algorithms are given and compared. In addition, the influence of two different reflection calibrations (open and short calibrations) on the results was analyzed.
