Abstract:
In this study, a novel sensorless algorithm for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SMPMSM) is proposed based on the hybrid extended state observer (HESO). Firstly, the back electromotive force (EMF) of the SMPMSM is estimated by an extended state observer. Then a hybrid extended state observer is applied to estimate the rotor position, rotor speed, and disturbance. The estimated disturbance, then, is added to the control signal to improve the control performance. With the proposed algorithm, the adverse effects of incorrect parameters, measurement noise, and disturbance are mitigated. The effectiveness of the proposed sensorless control algorithm has been verified by simulation results.
