Abstract:
In this work, we describe the fabrication and characterization of four types of inkjet-printed sensors, realized on flexible substrates, for diabetic foot ulcer monitoring. The sensors performances are compatible with the clinical requirements for chronic wound follow-up. Some of the sensors were successfully integrated into commercial dressings for the direct measurements on volunteers' body. This study could pave the way to the fabrication of low-cost, flexible, multi-parametric sensing platforms for medical applications.
