Abstract:
The electric bike (E-bike) market is growing rapidly year by year, the total number of electric bike sales in the year 2017 was just 1515 and in 2022 it become 6,15,365, which means approx. 406% increment has been recorded. Though it is good for the green environment, charging these bikes is becoming another challenge. It is creating a huge burden on the distribution line as most people are preferring home charging. These E-bike loads are the extra loads on the grid, and in the future, they may create a huge disturbance in the power system. So, it is very important to be prepared for the future challenge and try to overcome the problems. In this regard, we must know the impact of these E-bike loads on the system. In this paper the analysis of the impact of the E-bike load is done which will help to overcome the system instability problem along with that it will also help in achieving uninterrupted power supply to the household and industries even after supplying the E-bike loads. Voltage instability is the main issue of the distribution system so this analysis is also considered here.
