IOT based Lake Cleaning Machine-: Removal of Floating Objects

One of the prime requirements of ‘ a healthy society is clean water. Good quality water is very essential for all living beings and plants. Floating debris of water bodies include plastic waste or plant life along the water's surface. These debris are threat for the fish, sea birds and other marine animals. This paper presents the design of an IOT based remote operated automatic lake cleaning machine. The prototype is developed for cleaning different waste objects which are floating on the water surface. Manual cleaning of lake is a time-consuming tedious job and requires lot of manpower. The system uses a Hovercraft vehicle with a conveyor system. A Wi-Fi module is used to control the operation remotely to control the operation of cleaning machine. The microcontroller is used to read the sensor data and generate the control signals to operate the conveyor system for the waste objects. The Firebase cloud is used to operate the system from a remote place.
