Abstract:
A method is presented to select and control the distribution of steady state load on motors in dual drive conveyors. Any configuation, including ganged motors or remotely located drives, can be handled and only nameplate data is required. The method applies to any type of drive motor. The constraints on operating point selection are reviewed and several typical configurations are presented. The operating point is calculated for an example system.
