This paper shows the most important parameters in the selection of equipment and its impact in the short and long term, thus, it is concluded that a bad selection effectively condemns bad production, unnecessarily complicating the producers and managers of the production floor, and how a correct selection allows, in addition to producing more efficiently, to adapt the equipment to the passage of industrial revolutions. Although it is true, that there are many variables, the important thing is to be aware of their impact and existence, allowing a more detailed analysis, and achieving a better decision.
