Abstract:
Endovascular treatment (EVT) is a procedure that is widely used for the treatment of critical limb ischemia and coronary heart disease. The method shows high efficiency but there are known complications, one of which is the restenosis. It is an urgent task to avoid this adverse event. At the moment the molecular mechanism underlying the restenosis including in stent restenosis is still not fully understood. To investigate the gene cross-talk that is involved in different pathologies the gene network analysis could be used. In this work the ANDSystem — an automated tool that allows to build and analyze different gene networks, was utilized to study the vascular restenosis-associated gene network. The gene network of vascular restenosis contained 32 genes. According to the Gene Ontology over-representation analysis performed by DAVID web-resource, these genes participate in in hypoxia, apoptosis, cell proliferation and differentiation, inflammation, aging, cell cascades, angiogenesis and some other biological processes. Among them the biggest hubs are IL6, TNF, TP53, SERPINE1, TGFB1, IL10, MMP9, ADIPOQ, CRP, and FGF2 with the largest number of interactions in the studied gene network. The obtained result could help to clarify the molecular basis of the development of vascular restenosis.
