Abstract:

Sulfur hexafluoride (\mathbf{SF}_{6}) gas is widely used in electric power equipment because of its good insulation and arc extinguishing properties. However, SF6 is a greenhouse gas. Therefore, it is urgent to explore environmentally-friendly alternatives to SF6. In recent years, various new environmental-friendly gases and mixed gases have gained attention as potential alternative \mathbf{SF}_{6} gases. Particularly, this paper puts forward the HFO-1336mzz(E) gas as an insulating medium for application in electric power equipment. First, given the problem of easy liquefaction of such gas, combined with experimentally measured saturated vapor pressure data, the Antoine equation and the gas-liquid equilibrium law are used to analyze the saturated vapor pressure characteristics of HFO-1336mzz(E) and HFO-1336mzz(E)/N2 mixed gas. Secondly, gap breakdown experiments under de voltage are carried out under different pressures to evaluate the insulation performance of HFO-1336mzz(E)/N2 mixed gas. The experimental results show that the breakdown voltage increases almost linearly with the increase in gas pressure. The research results provide a theoretical basis and technical guidance for its application in power equipment.
