E-Payment as an Alternative Payment System in Petrol Stations of Brunei

E-payment is an innovative cashless payment system that does not require cash to make a transaction to own goods or services from retailers with the aid of an electronic medium. Consumers often keep their money in the bank and may have to go to the bank to withdraw their money to make purchases. E-payment provides the consumer peace of mind, not worrying about having cash. There are numerous e-payment methods for the convenience or preference of the consumer. This study concerns investigating the consumer’s opinion regarding the existing traditional payment method at the petrol station in Brunei and determining factors of their intention to use the e-payment system to be implemented at the petrol station. However, to know their purpose, the researcher must examine the consumers’ general perception of the e-payment system.
