Biography

Dirk J. Eric Verschuur received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Hons.) degrees in applied physics from Delft University of Technology (DUT), Delft, The Netherlands, in 1986 and 1991, respectively.,He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Imaging Physics, DUT. Since 2016, he has been the Program Director of the Delphi Research Consortium, within which research is carried out in the area of geo-imaging. His main research interests are wavefield modeling, data processing, imaging and inversion techniques, and the use of machine learning for geo-imaging.,Dr. Verschuur received the SEG’s J. Clarence Karcher Award in 1997 and the Virgil Kauffman Gold Medal from SEG in 2006.(Based on document published on 7 July 2022).
