Farshad Lahouti received the B. Sc. degree from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, both in electrical and computer engineering in 1997 and 2002, respectively.,Between 2002 and 2004, he worked first as a postdoctoral Fellow and subsequently as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo. He is currently with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Tehran. Part of his work is the main component of a research project [co-funded by Nortel Networks and Communications and Information Technology Ontario (CITO)] that has been documented as a CITO success story.
