Biography

Ian Greenshields is an Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Greenshield's obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Brunel University, London (UK) in 1978. Before joining UConn, he has served as a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at the Concordia University. Dr. Greenshield's research interests include: visualization, image/medical image processing and analysis, pattern recognition, grid computing, and high-performance computing.(Based on document published on 24 July 2006).
