Biography

Mats A. Granskog received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in geophysics (hydrosphere and cryosphere) from the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, in 1999 and 2004, respectively.,He held post-doctoral positions at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, and the University of Lapland, and received a scholarship from the Walter and Andrée de Nottbeck Foundation, Finland. He has been a Senior Research Scientist with the Norwegian Polar Institute, Tromsø, Norway, since 2008. He has ample experience from fieldwork in polar and subpolar seas and has authored 150 peer-reviewed publications on broad topics in cold climate environments.
