Abstract:

Actual problems in the development of radio transmitters are to increase energy efficiency and reduce weight and size parameters. To solve the first problem, it is advisable to use switched mode power amplifier, which provides an efficiency of over 90%. However, the output voltage spectrum of such an amplifier includes a high level of higher harmonics, which affects the requirements for the filter and, as a result, leads to an increase in weight and size parameters. The use of a stage voltage theoretically solves this problem, but in practice, the dispersion of the element circuit parameters may increase the level of the second and third harmonics to minus 55…40 dB. Research has shown that 24 power amplifier cells are required to reduce the probability of this case to $\mathrm{P}=10^{-3}$. In addition, the cases of two- and three-stage voltage turned out to be the most effective.
