Abstract:
This paper presents a machine learning algorithm for direction-finding using a tracking system on a platform. The introduced algorithm reduces computational complexity and lowers processing time to achieve beamforming. The estimation furnished using the proposed approach provides a three-dimensional angle-of-arrival in the azimuth and elevation space across the upper hemispherical volume. The algorithm is simulated in Matlab to demonstrate its performance and feasibility.
