Abstract:

Computer simulation methods are comprehensively applied to engineering research. After literature research and basic experiments, more and more disciplines apply this method. Based on the flexibility and applicability of personally-made models combined with behavioral framework, simulation method may be very suitable for crime research. According to the urban layout and crime characteristics, the ABM model and simulation technology are used to study the evolution of urban crime risks, and simulation experiments are carried out to provide suggestions for crime risk assessment and early warning. The simulation results finally show that the simulation results can provide early warning of urban crime risks and improve the actual police work. Finally, this paper fully proves that the method of simulation can be used to understand crime and improve the process of crime management, and to formulate effective crime prevention strategies.
