Abstract:

National Institute of Technology kurukshetra campus in Haryana has 1MW rooftop solar plant. The primary objective of this paper is to suggest a hybrid energy system available at the campus is economically feasible or not. In this paper, by using HOMER software (Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources software), We analyze five completely distinct instants available at the NIT campus. The results are obtained by using HOMER software indicates hybrid energy system as a cost effective alternative solution for the campus.
