Abstract:
The aim of this work is to acquire temperature from as much sensors as possible. The sensors are PT 100 and PT 1000 type thermocouples placed strategically in key parts of a thermo-electric hybrid solar system. The solar system is made of a solar collector with parabola shape, covered with hexagonal-shaped reflective mirrors. The solar concentrator has a vacuum chamber and it is built around a TEG and has the possibility to produce heated water and electricity. The temperature acquisition is made with a 4-channel RTD input module which is connected to the computer via the RS-485 industrial serial port. To make temperature measurement on multiple points, more RTD input modules can be used via the same RS-485 channel, but with different address. The data is logged, both locally and online in an SQL database, with the usage of acquisition software.
