Abstract:

The article discusses the principle of operation and the control system of fuel combustion in boiler installations based on sensors operating on the principle of ionization. Such devices are practically inertiafree, and provide high reliability of flame detection in gas boiler installations in order to ensure the safety of fuel combustion. An inexpensive solution to the problem of designing flame sensors based on the flame ionization current and operating at a voltage of 12V is proposed. It is shown that the output signal of the ionization sensor depends both on the location of the sensor relative to the boundaries of the flame and on the supply voltage. The design and electrical circuit of the flame sensor on the ionization principle are proposed, as well as the results of its tests.
