Abstract:

This paper presents the development of a mobile application that track and alert community and authority on garbage collector truck schedule to collect garbage’s at the residents using Google maps. The community is alerts on truck schedules and always notice and prepare themselves. Recent scenario presents that some waste garbage’s are not well managed or taken on time added that the community is lack of awareness on recent or change schedule of garbage collector truck by the authority. A situation happened where some garbage’s are kept for some long time in residents’ garbage container which gains bad smell and dirtied the container from a long untaken waste which causes an uncomfortable environment for the residents. This project designed a mobile application to alert community on garbage duty schedule and able to track the location of garbage collector using Google maps applications. The method involved application design and coding for Mobile apps garbage collector, system design, data collections and database structure on Firebase. The tracking system used Global Positioning System services technique to locate locations of the garbage truck and interactively display on a smartphone via Google Maps. Real-time truck trips and its routes are displayed as interactive maps. Android Studios used as a platform for editor coding and interfacing. A prototype mobiles application on Garbage collector is designed and presents data analysis on location and punctuality of truck arrival time. The technique provides a consistent mapping service, a responsive map experience and location matrix on truck location. The system can be taken as a monitoring platform and significant to authority in presenting monitoring services to the customer which promised high available Quality of Service and improve residents’ concerns set by the city council.
