CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing Test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. It is a Human Interactive Proof (HIP) system which helps to differentiate between hostile computer program. The design and application of captcha are categorised under the category of Artificial Intelligence. CAPTCHA helps to protect our system from threats of attacks from computer programs knowns as bots.
