Abstract:

To cope with increasingly spectrum tension in 5G, this paper focuses on space spectrum utilization and the resource allocation problem for multicast wireless services in hybrid satellite-terrestrial communication networks. This paper proposes a hybrid satellite-terrestrial communication network architecture with software defined networking (SDN) feature to offer low-rate multicast services for delay-tolerant users. In particular, the Multicast solution based on Service Rate Constraints (MSRC) is proposed to solve spectrum resource allocation problem according to channel conditions. Finally, simulation shows MSRC ensures the number of service terminals and has fairness index greater than 0.77 and good throughput.
