The information revealed by processing semantic topics extracted from collective short posts

Microblog systems are used to quickly share ideas, and events happening around. These mediums provide topics that interest many people. The output of the approach we have introduced in our earlier approach is in machine interpretable form. It identifies the topics of a microblog post set using social signals and expresses them in the semantic web. We have developed an application to show some of the ways to utilize these topics. This paper presents this application and the utilization of topics. Examples of topics and use cases are presented. This paper shows that these use cases are challenging if other applications and approaches are used for this purpose.
